Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how The Rebbe’s Partnership Foundation (“Foundation”, “we”, or “us”) collects, uses, stores, shares and protects your information provided in connection with the grants awarded and administered by the Foundation and/or the Foundation’s website located at www.partnershipfund.org (the “Site”).  By submitting an application for a grant and/or accessing, visiting or using the Site, you expressly consent to our collection, use, disclosure and retention of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

We will notify you of changes to this Privacy Policy by posting the amended policy on the Site at least thirty (30) days before the effective date of the changes.  If you do not agree to the new terms, you should notify us in writing prior to the end of the applicable thirty (30) day period.  

1. Information Collected by the Foundation.

 A.    Information You Directly Provide to Us in a Grant Application.  If you submit a grant application, you will be asked to provide us with personal information, including, without limitation, your name, date of birth, e-mail address, telephone number and address.  You may also provide or be asked to provide us with other sensitive, personal information that may be relevant to your grant application, including, without limitation, information related to your employment, finances, physical or mental health and healthcare. 

B.     Information You Directly and Voluntarily Provide to Us on the Site.  If you submit a question or request information through the Site you will be asked to provide your first and last name and email address. We may also collect information that you provide to us when we communicate with you by email, telephone or postal mail. 

C.    Information that We Collect From Third Parties.  Occasionally, we may also collect information you submit to third parties that we have engaged to assist us in connection with the application and evaluation of grants. Although it is our general practice to review applications in a form that does not specifically identify the individuals involved, we sometimes will receive personally-identifiable information with respect to an application and in all cases will receive personal information in connection with a grant application that has been approved for funding.  This may include personal information about an applicant that is provided by a third party.

D.    Information that We Automatically Collect.  We use automated mechanisms such as cookies to keep track of users’ interactions with the Site.  Information we collect using cookies may include your Internet protocol address, referring website address, browser type and the times that you accessed the Site.  We may use data we gather automatically to help us recognize you as a previous visitor to the Site, or to analyze trends and statistics to improve your experience of the Site. You can set your browser to reject cookies or to notify you when you are sent a cookie. You can also purchase and download software that will allow you to visit the Site without providing the information gathered by cookies. However, if you set your browser to limit or remove cookies, some features of the Services may be unavailable or unable to function properly.

2. Use of Information by the Foundation.  The Foundation may use information that we collect about you to:

  • evaluate your grant application and award grants;
  • respond to your inquiries submitted on the Site;
  • generate and review reports and data about the entities and individuals that have applied for or been awarded grants;
  • compile aggregate data for internal and external business purposes;
  • resolve disputes and troubleshoot problems;
  • comply with applicable laws, regulations and legal process;
  • contact you with information;
  • provide you with other services requested by you as described when we collect the information; and
  •  provide you with information about third-party products and services that we think may be of interest to you.

 3.       The Foundation’s Disclosure of Information to Third Parties.  The Foundation may disclose your information to the following third parties: 

  • Service Providers.  We may share your information with third party contractors or service providers who provide certain services to us or on our behalf, such as the company managing and hosting the Site.    These service providers will be authorized to access only the information needed to perform these limited functions on our behalf and are required to provide your information with at least the same level of protection and security as described in this Privacy Policy.
  • Aggregate Information.  The Foundation may share information relating to individuals or entities that have been awarded grants on an aggregate basis. We note that, while this information will not identify you personally, in some instances these third parties may be able to combine this information with other data they have about you, or that they receive from third parties, in a manner that allows them to identify you personally. 
  • Law Enforcement Authorities.  To the extent permitted by law, we may share your information with law enforcement, governmental agencies, or authorized third-parties, in response to a verified request relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity or any other activity that may expose us, you, or any other grant recipient to legal liability, or to protect our rights or property, or during emergencies when safety is at risk.
    Individuals Involved in Grant Review.  The evaluation of grant requests is performed by individuals designated by the Foundation.  Such individuals may be known to the grant applicant and may have access to personal information contained in the grant application as a result of their participation in the review process.

 4. No Spam, Spyware or Spoofing.  The Foundation and our users do not tolerate spam. To report the Foundation-related spam or spoof emails to us, please forward the email to contact@partnershipfund.org.

 5.      Security.  The Foundation takes reasonable measures to protect the information you provide to the Foundation or submit through the Site against loss, theft and unauthorized use, disclosure, or modification. However, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to the Foundation or submit through the Site and you do so at your own risk.  No internet or email transmission is ever fully secure or error-free. You should use caution whenever submitting information online and take special care in deciding what information you send to us via email or our Site.

6.      No Use by Children.  The Site is not intended for use by children under the age of thirteen (13).  We will never knowingly collect information directly from children under the age of thirteen (13) without verifiable parental consent.  If you are under the age of thirteen (13), please do not provide us with information of any kind whatsoever.  If we become aware that a grant application or user of the Site is under the age of thirteen (13) and has submitted information to the Foundation without verifiable parental consent, we will remove his or her information from our files.  If you have reason to believe that we may have accidentally received personal information from a child under age thirteen (13), please contact us immediately at contact@partnershipfund.org.

7.      Use of Information Outside of Your Country of Residence.  The Site is hosted in the United States.If you are located outside of the United States and choose to use the Site or provide your information to us, your information will be transferred, processed and stored in the United States.  U.S. privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. Your agreement to the terms of this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of information in to the Foundation represents your agreement to this practice.  If you do not want your information transferred to or processed or stored in the United States, you should not submit your information to the Foundation.  

8.      Retention of Your Information.  We retain information as long as it is necessary and relevant for our operations and as permitted by law. The information we retain about you will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
